Have you ever seen children who are determined to get an extra treat from their parents? They just keep trying and trying, and they are very resourceful.

Some call it stubborn.

I call it persistence. Something that courageous entrepreneurs know a lot about.

Or we could call it determinations. How about it?

Or stick-to-it-tiveness. Is that even a word?

We might also call it consistency of action.

Whatever we call it; we must decide to have this mindset – determination, consistency, persistence – to start and keep out businesses running.

Have a GREAT day! Signing off now with the words of Sir Winston Churchill:

“Never, never, never, never give up.”

What is your mindset when it comes to marketing your business?

Some might say, if you’re in business, you need to learn marketing.

As a business coach, I say, if you’re in business you need to love marketing.

Why are so many people afraid of the “m” word? Why do entrepreneurs avoid marketing like ice cream on a cold winter day?

You might think I’m changing the subject, but I’m not.

I was in a waiting room chitchatting with people when a lady started telling us about a book she had recently read, “My Sister’s Keeper.”

She was passionate about it! The suspense in it. The great ending. And even the comedic parts had us laughing. The synopsis she shared with us was riveting.

We were enthralled. Hooked. Committed to reading the book.

We were not pushed or threatened or cornered or coerced. We wanted to read that book.

Ladies and Gentlemen. That is marketing! That lady had successfuly marketed the book to us.

Some people think marketing is fancy and difficult or involves trickery and pushiness so they can “close the deal.”

Marketing is simply making the decision and having the courage to consistently share what you are passionate about. Share, then let it be. Others may take action or not. Our job is only to share what we are passionate about. When we are passionate, people are attracted to us.

What is your business? Are you passionate about it? And how are you sharing that passion?

I invite your comments.

Are you expecting a great week?

Many people expect to have a great week and they usually do. It’s their choice to do so, you know.

It’s amazing that we often get what we expect, whether it’s good or bad.

Let’s take the story of Gail for example. Gail phoned her friend and told her about the awful week ahead of her. There was the PTA meeting, doctor’s appointment, dental appointment for the kids, and her uncle’s visit. She told every awful detail of how bad her week would be. It’s like her goal was to have a bad week.

A week later, Gail phoned her friend again and guess what? Gail had the exact week she was expecting – an awful one! Funny how we get what we focus and concentrate on.

What kind of week are you deciding to have? It’s your choice, you know.

Are you an entrepreneur or solo professional who wants to start, grow and market your business with confidence and ease?

We are fortunate to live in a time where technology can do so much for us. One way we can save time, money and effort is by attending webinars, rather than traveling to seminars.

Webinars is short for Web-based seminar. Webinars are seminars or workshops that are held online.

The attendees are on their computers and can see whatever the presenter chooses to present. The presenter may present information in bullet form, charts, graphs, or even share personal photographs.

Attendees have a huge advantage over attending seminars in person. They can do so from the comfort of their home. This means no travel, air, or hotel costs. No dog and house sitters to hire, and no lost travel time.

Webinars are great because you can give an hour-long seminar, ten-hour seminars, or a series of three-hour seminars and people can attend from anywhere there’s an internet connection available.

There are several disadvantages to webinars over teleseminars you should be aware of. Not everyone has a computer, there can be technical problems when there are storms, and some people get stuck on the fact they’re expected to download simple software to their computer, a one or two minute job.

So, which is it for you? Teleseminars or webinars?

Teleseminars are simply this: seminars or workshops that you can attend by listening over the telephone, rather than traveling to another location.

What if you wanted to take an 8-week class every Wednesday on widget preparation and it was only held in Los Angeles and you lived in New York City? You could easily do this via teleseminar.

The neat thing is that you can get all the information that you would from an in-person seminar, but you’ll save on the airfare, car rentals, hotels, cat sitters, house sitters, and travel time.

One disadvantage is that you don’t network in person.

This is how it works to participate. You pick up the phone and dial the number you are given. You are then connected to the teleseminar leader and other seminar participants.

There may be two or three participants or hundreds of participants, depending on who the leader has invited.

If you wish to be the teleseminar leader, you can use teleseminars to train people in your area of expertise, to invite people to a freebie to learn about your products or services, or sell your affiliate products.

Like most things in life, what you can do with teleseminars is limited only by your imagination.

First of all, do you agree with the title? Let’s have a vote – Agree or Disagree? Why?

He has ideas on everything from time management to doing what excites you in life.

Did you know most time management ideas are obsolete?

Is your priority emphasizing your strengths or working on your weaknesses?

What would you do if there were no way you could fail?

Yesterday I was watching the Olympics, and I impressed with the ability of the athletes to stay focused on their goals – no matter what.

 It’s incredible, don’t you think?

Then I got to wondering, how exactly do they do it? Keep going in the same direction? Always hitting their target?

 Here’s the answer:

 Ready?

 Here’s their secret.

They use a GPS. That’s right. They all use a GPS for their philosophy and action plan to success.

G – Goals – they set goals that make them stretch and check on them regularly, often daily,

P – Persistence – they are persistent, as in consistent, self-disciplined, and determined, and

S – Support – they get the support of family, friends, and most important, a good coach.

How much bigger would your goals be with the support of a business or life coach?

How much more would you get done if you had a coach to hold you accountable for your commitments?

And finally, what could your life and business be like with the support of a coach?

Time to stop dreaming.

Start taking action.

Get some big goals, be persistent, and get topnotch support, so you can start living your dreams instead of just dreaming about them.

Today.

Hi, Entrepreneurs and Big Thinkers,

Do you want a fantastic week or a fantastic week?

I thought so!

Everyone has a dream.

For some people it’s:

* starting a new business
* moving your business online
* growing your business exponentially
* becoming financially independent

Well, most people never get there.

Why not?

Inconsistency, lack of focus, and not knowing what they really want.

“But, Elizabeth, why are some entrepreneurs so successful?”

Let me tell you. Here is one thing every successful entrepreneur knows. They all practice this, and they wouldn’t have their tremendous success without it.

Ready?

Here’s the secret:

Consistency.

Yes, Consistency. Consistency. Consistency.

So, I encourage you, right now, today, to do these 3 steps. Notice it’s not 30 difficult steps or 100 puzzling steps. Just 3 easy steps:

1) Put your goals in writing
2) Rewrite them every morning
3) Consistently take action: 3 – 5 daily, tiny steps directly related to growing your business.

Got it? Have fun with it, and let’s see where you are one week from today.

Good luck and have a fantastic week!

Your coach,

Elizabeth
